hunting with a camera
For the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam NB designed, in collaboration with Theun Mosk, the exhibition Hunting with a Camera on the earliest Dutch nature photography.
One of the starting points for the design was to separate the aesthetically appealing work from the work that supports the exhibition’s content. This results in a floor plan whereby the areas that focus on aesthetics surround a central space. In this white space visitors will find information supporting the topics of the rest of the exhibition.
In the surrounding areas, a selection of attractive images is displayed on light boxes. The walls have been painted partly with a high-gloss finish creating a horizontal line running throughout the exhibition from beginning to end. One of the various attractive parts for kids, is a shelter, hidden in a wall. Here the excitement of hunting with a camera gets tangible.
